Forest Fires - Hellscape

There are forest fires burning in Canada right now. Which seems to have been a problem for the last few years and I'm not sure what sup with that. I mean I looked it up and they said that the issue has several different factors including, dry condition, lightning strikes, and of course people. The problem is it seems the last few years it has had a pretty notable affect on those of us living in the United States.

Recently the smoke from this has made it's way south to the United States. I think it's more reasonable for states further north to see this, I'm talking like Michigan, New York, etc. You can see it with the naked eye in Pittsburgh, which at least for me, was pretty shocking. Of course I heard about it on the news in the morning, but I didn't expect it to be so apparent.

The really crazy part is that you can go outside and smell the it. Like I said the past few years we haver been hearing about wild fires in Canada and maybe even seen a little smoke as a result. Typically though it's a layer removed, the news tells you the air quality is low, and you may notice a little smog, but you don't see smoke. You definitely don't smell it!

Even my in-laws who live as far south as Hampton Roads VA, which for those who do not know is pretty close to the border of North Carolina, so pretty far south, have said that they can see the smoke.

Parts for my Mower

I received the new spark plug for my riding mower to see if I could get it to run smoother. I went into my front office/3-season room to get the socket to swap it and two things happened.

  1. I didn't have the correct width of socket. I need a 16mm and my largets was 15mm in a deep well type
  2. My deepwell sockets were apparently not deep enough!

So I had to look into getting something longer. I knew that Home Depot and Lowes would have it, but I wanted to get it as cheap as possible so I looked first at Harbor Freights website. I don't hold any illusions that my blog has gathered any kind of attention, but if by some small chance someone reading this works for Harbor Freight; your website is utter garbage! It doesn't load quickly at all on anything I use. I have highspeed interent at home, pulling usually between 700-1000 mb/s; devices that run windows, mac, linux, and android; different browsers, edge, firefox, chrome, safari, duckduckgo, and brave. It doesn't matter what I use, your site is unnavigable. The inital page may load, but anything after moves at a snails pace.

After getting frustrated about that I just ordered a new socket from Home Depot. The nice thing is I can order it, and pick it up the next day after work. I'm still waiting on my filters from Wal-Mart and for the air to clear up a little so I can see what I can do about fixing this issue.
