Hobbies Page is Up(ish)

I was working on my hobbies page today. It looks a little diferent than the others because I didn't want it to blend in too closely with the rest. I wanted it to stand out. I made the colors different.

I also added some buttons that create a drop down menu when you over over it. The problem is that they are all linked to pages I don't have created yet. It's all a process!

In looking at the list I had with sub lists I realize I have a lot of hobbies! I have to make pages for them, some of them have some shared spillover, but it's still a lot of potential work and updating.

I feel the need to keep incorporating different types of layout and HTML to keep myself engaged in this endeavor. If it's all the same then I start to lose interest and skip a day or so. I mean I still usually write, but instead of doing it on the day of, I'll do it the next day. This defeats the purpose of the site. Well it's not the only purpose, but it is a big part of it, which is creating a schedule for writing to create a habit.

I know that using AI to generate images is a bad thing and idea. Especially for businesses who are doing it to cut costs and production time. It takes a job from an artist. I am not making any money though and AI generated images is just too easy.

I mention this because I used AI to create a few images for my hobbies page. In particular I used it to make a picture of myself writing and reading. I mean it looks somewhat like me. He is in better shape and is objectively more handsome, but you get the point.

Ice Maker

Nugget Ice Maker Katie Wants

Katie has mentioned to me that she wants an ice maker in the Kitchen. We have an icemaker built into our fridge, but it's not connected anywhere. I figured at some point I would connect it, but after talking to her this weekend, I'm not sure she would want it anyway.

We were at Aldi and they had a counter-top ice maker for less than $70. The ones I've seen online and in stores is usually round the price of $150. So I was pretty excited to see one this cheap.

The problem, as she tells me is that it doesn't make smaller nugget style ice. I didn't even know what that was. Now I'm concerned that even if I hook up the fridge, which would be the prefernece for me cause it's already running and theoretically shouldn't take any extra power. That makes it a win win if you ask me. I'll have to look closer at our fridge manual though.
